The Accuware dashboard and Micello use the same WGS84 coordinates system. Despite this, if the floor plan uploaded inside the Accuware dashboard (and used during the fingerprinting process), is not aligned with the floor plan created with Micello (and visualized inside your App) then the location returned by the Accuware Indoors engine (and overlaid on the Micello’s floor plan) will be shifted of a delta, giving you the impression that the Indoors engine is not providing accurate results.
In order to solve this problem you have several options:
- OPTION 1 – Delete the floor plan already uploaded inside the Accuware dashboard, delete the fingerprinting already done, import into the Accuware dashboard the floor plan image and the KML file created by Micello – this is the easiest and fastest solution.
- OPTION 2 – Ask to Micello to align and scale their floor plan in order to be aligned and scaled as the floor plan already uploaded inside the Accuware dashboard – in order to do so you will have to provide to Micello the floor plan image and the KML of the floor plan already uploaded inside the Accuware dashboard. The floor image and the KML file can be exported from the Accuware server by following step by step the easy instructions in this page.
- OPTION 3 – Apply a “calibration” formula to the coordinates returned by the Accuware Indoor engine – this can be another solution in order to compensate the misalignment between the floor plan uploaded inside the Accuware dashboard and the floor plan provided by Micello. Please be aware that this can be complicated especially if there is also a different “scaling” factor between the 2 floor plans.
